Relaxing

Bring the nervous system down and keep it there. This is the pillar you use most. On an ordinary day it should be the only breathing you are doing on purpose. Everything here is safe to run on your own, as often as you want.

  • 3-10 minutes Foundational breath The fastest way down. Base for everything else. Sitting or lying
  • 3-10 minutes Box breathing Quiets the mind. Used under pressure. Sitting upright
  • 5-10+ minutes Turtle breath Deep relaxation and sleep. Lying down
  • 3-10 minutes Nadi Shodhana Evens out both sides. Settles without sedating. Sitting upright
  • 3-10 minutes Full-fill Stacked breaths and a hold. Goes deeper than one round. Sitting or lying
  • 5-10+ minutes 4·3·6 Longer exhale than inhale. When box isn't enough. Sitting or lying
  • 5-10 minutes Cleansing breath Golden light in, smoke out. Puts the day down. Sitting or lying
